LEGO BUILDING COMPETITION ON THE THEME OF LEGO SPACE

This year we are once again launching our LEGO building competition!

After our last LEGO City (2022) and LEGO Star Wars (2023) building competitions, this year marks the fourth round:

01.05.2024: we explore space and start the big LEGO Space building competition!

Young and old builders play with LEGO and LEGO bricks! LEGO Space is as diverse as the galaxy itself! Whether Mars rovers, planetary systems or space rockets: there really is something for everyone when it comes to space!

That's why we at JB Spielwaren are launching the big LEGO Space building competition! This time, our jury is once again made up of Marcus Ungermanns (Bob Brickman), Michael & Christina (Stein auf Stein LEGOworld) and our colleague Christoph Baumann (LEGO Masters Allstars winner)

WHAT CAN BE BUILT? 

The world of LEGO is colorful and diverse. That's why we only want to give you a few conditions for your building: Your building should fit in with the LEGO Space theme! 

IN DETAIL, THIS MEANS FOR YOU:

Your LEGO building has something to do with the chosen theme. 

We want to see your imagination and creativity. So make something of your own and break away from themes such as Star Wars, Marvel or other licensed themes. 

There is no height limit or maximum number of parts.

Maximum building size 48x48 studs.

It is something new, built for the building competition, i.e.: no publication of the building before 01.05.2024 

Use only LEGO bricks and LEGO minifigures.

Whether space spaceship, space station or self-built alien: Everything is allowed!

THE BUILDING CATEGORIES AND PRIZES 

In order to give our little builders the chance to build great things and put themselves in the spotlight, we have prepared two categories for the MOCs (My Own Creation) this year too: 

AFOL/professional category: for all great builders, AFOL, artists 

Junior/beginner category: for all little builders and beginners in the LEGO theme 

After consultation with the candidate, we reserve the right to assign buildings to the category we consider appropriate. 

A total of 10 winners (5 for each of the two categories) will be selected from all entries in the category. 

The prizes this year are: 

1st prize: EUR 250 shopping voucher 

2nd prize: 125 EUR shopping voucher 

3rd prize: 75 EUR shopping voucher 

4th prize: EUR 50 shopping voucher 

5th prize: 25 EUR shopping voucher 

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU: 

A maximum of 5 photos as an image file in .jpg or .png format 

(A little tip: Make an effort, because the pictures are the only thing that will help us to evaluate your building. Image quality, exposure and background play a significant role) 

A short description of what you consider to be the most important details of the building.

If you like, a short description of yourself as the builder. 

If you are a minor, permission from your parents to take part in the building competition.

The winners will be announced in fall 2024 after reviewing the entries.

 *Make us laugh, think or put us in suspense. Use expression through minifigures, give your character a special pose or convey the emotion through dark or cheerful colors.
